88 Cycling was founded in 2019 by Joel Barros, a former professional cyclist from Cuba and a former representative of the state of Florida in both road and track cycling. Joel brings with him an extensive cycling career, along with a solid academic background, holding degrees in Physical Education from Cuba and Florida, as well as a certification as an expert coach. His passion for the sport and dedication to the cycling community were the driving forces behind the creation of 88 Cycling.

The name 88 Cycling comes from its location on 88th Street SW, right in the heart of Miami, providing convenient access for customers in the area.

The 88 Cycling team is made up of active cyclists who understand firsthand the needs and importance of every detail in different types of bicycles, whether it’s track, mountain, road, or triathlon. Together, we bring over 100 years of combined experience in repairing, advising, and solving problems for cyclists of all levels. All team members share a passion for cycling and mechanics, and are certified by leading brands like Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo, ensuring expert service for any type of bike.
